Hospital Policies

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate primarily by appointment. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Patient Arrival Policy

For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.

All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash or harness.

For your convenience, drop-off appointments are available. A drop-off means you could bring your pet at the time that works best for you and leave him/her with us for a couple of hours. Usually, we will ask you to come sometime in the morning, so our doctor can examine the patient in between appointments or at the time purposely reserved for admitted patients. Once the doctor is done with the exam, she will give you a call to go over the diagnosis and to give you discharge instructions.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings, and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask that you do not restrain your pet. We recommend that animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Debit, Care Credit, and Cash.

Return Policy

Just like with a human pharmacy, products that have left our facility cannot be returned. However, opened bags of dog and cat food may be returned or exchanged because they are guaranteed by the manufacturer.

    Karlee, Certified Technician

Karlee has spent most of her life in the greater Portland area. She has been working in a veterinary clinic since she was 17 years old. She graduated from Oregon State University with Bachelors Degree in Animal Science, with a focus on Animal Behavior and continued on to receive her CVT certification in 2009 and has been working as a technician in private practices ever since.

As an animal lover, Karlee enjoys spending time with pets that come in for visits and making sure their experience is a good one. She treats every pet as if it were her own, and give them the love, patiences, and compassion that they deserve. With an interest in Animal Behavior, Karlee enjoys learning from each pet that she meets, and using that experience to grow as a technician.

In her spare time, Karlee enjoys the outdoors with her husband, a black lab, "Zodi", and border collie mix, "Benson" that she adpoted from the Oregon Humane Society in 2010. They are very energetic and VERY spoiled. She also has a cat, "Bozo" that thinks he is a dog. He has learned how to fetch and will play for hours.
